I am a Ph.D student since January 2016 in the department of Science and Technology Studies, University College London. My doctorate project is on philosophy of science with particular emphasis on the “classic” pragmatist philosopher Charles S. Peirce (1839-1914). My primary supervisor is Dr. Chiara Ambrosio (STS), my secondary supervisor Dr. Mats Bergman, at Helsinki University.

Before coming to London, I studied philosophy in Pisa (Università di Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore).

I am interested in historic epistemology, scientific epistemology, and philosophy of perception. Said more plainly, I am interested in the historic development of meanings and societies, and in the notion of community as where awareness and perception are shaped.

Other interests include 19C Naturphilosophie and the history of philosophy more broadly; questions concerning laws of nature and causality; scientific representation and the role of models; diagrammatic thought.

Finally, I love hiking and being outdoor.
